Kix Brooks Plays to Save Historic Theater

The entertainer heads to Texas for special show.

Kix Brooks to the rescue! Always willing to help out any worthy cause, Kix played a sold-out show in Mason, Texas, on Saturday (March 8) at the Odeon Theater—the Lone Star State’s only operating single-screen theater.

Kix performed at the historic venue as part of the Odeon Theater Concert Series to raise funding for renovations. Its owners hope to realize their dream of making the building a full performing arts center.

The performing arts and silver screen have always held a special place for Kix, who in addition to being a songwriter and entertainer is also an award-winning DJ and budding actor. For those who missed him at the Odeon Theater, they can catch him on their home theater. His movie Ambush at Dark Canyon is now available for purchase on DVD. A Western, Ambush at Dark Canyon marks Kix's first lead acting role and includes music that he wrote, recorded and produced.
