Kix Brooks Heads Off to the Movie Set

Brooks, Kix

Did ya know that Kix Brooks, late of Brooks & Dunn, was a theater major in college?

Now that he’s off the road as part of a mega-touring act, Kix jumped back on the road last night (Nov. 15) to go to Phoenix to shoot what he calls a small movie with “real actors.”

No word on who those actors are.

But Kix says he’ll play a bad guy in the film, called Thriftstore Cowboy.

“When I leave here,” Kix told fans in an online chat yesterday, “I’ll try to leave my happy go lucky and get in a little darker mood.”

Kix says his character turns out to be not all bad, but, “He’s hooked up with some really bad guys and he’s trying to hang with them.”

“I’ve always thought it’d be fun to do something like that.”
