Kix Brooks Has New Acting Role in Upcoming Western

“My fans have continued to let me keep doing what I do,” says Kix.

Country music fans are familiar with Kix Brooks the singer, songwriter and host of his American Country Countdown radio show, but now they will soon get to know him for his acting chops in the movie Western Ambush at Dark Canyon.

The film is available now on demand, and it will available for purchase on DVD through Walmart and Sam's Club starting Jan. 14. All other retailers will have the movie available for purchase by March 11. There will also be an exclusive CD soundtrack, produced by Kix and featuring Randy Houser, that will be available exclusively at Walmart. Randy will also make his acting debut in the new film.

“My fans have continued to let me keep doing what I do, whether that’s as an artist, radio host or actor,” says Kix. “They’ve given me the chance to try new things and a reason to work harder than I ever have before. I’m really proud of all of these projects and can’t wait to see what we get into next!”

In addition to his acting role in Ambush at Dark Canyon, Kix also serves as executive producer of the new film A Country Christmas, available now through all retail outlets. The movie also features special appearances by Trace Adkins and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus. Both Kix and Jay are also in charge of the movie’s music soundtrack.
