Kip Moore Uses Real-Life Tension in “Beer Money” Video

Kip Moore plays a mechanic who argues with his boss at the beginning of the “Beer Money” video.

The “Somethin’ ’Bout a Truck” singer was acting, but the tension was real, he tells reporters. You see, Kip's real-life manager, Shawn McSpadden, plays Kip's boss in the clip.

"We bicker a lot with each other, so it kind of came natural to us," Kip said.

"We get along great, but he makes me mad sometimes," said Kip, explaining how he carried that anger into the scene. "It was just like I wanted to knock his head off, and he hadn't done anything wrong."

Yikes!

Kip says the scene—where his boss confronts him for staying out too late and not concentrating at work—is a reflection of real life.

"I was always trying to write songs while I was at work or doing other things, and I always had bosses getting onto me," he said, "especially the whole time I was here in Nashville. So, that was a very true scene to my coming through this town."
