Kip Moore Says Put the Phone Down and Enjoy the Concert

“It’s like, ‘Dude, put the phone down and just enjoy what’s going on right now,’ you know?”

Kip Moore is one backpacking-in-Hawaii mellow kinda guy. But there is something that gets under his skin: fans who record his shows through their phones instead of watching him eye to eye.

“It’s upsetting that people have lost the ability to live in the moment, and I think it’s only gonna get worse and worse,” Kip told reporters recently.

“There’s some times in a show when I’ll go sing right to somebody face to face, and they’ll waste the whole 10 seconds trying to get their phone out of their pocket, and by the time they finally look up, I’m gone.”

So what are you trying to say, Kip?

“It’s like, ‘Dude, put the phone down and just enjoy what's going on right now,’ you know?”

Got it.

You might recall that Sheryl Crow said she also finds fans watching her shows through their cell phones “annoying.”
