Just before he got to Nashville, Kip Moore sequestered himelf in a small room in Hawaii for some intense songwriting—he'd hike, surf and return to his room to write.

Kip must've enjoyed himself.

He tells reporters that he's heading back to Hawaii for two weeks.

And though Kip's had a couple of big hits, he's going keep it simple again.

"I'm doing it rough again, man. I booked a one-bedroom for a week, and then I'm gonna camp out for a week," Kip says.

"So, I'm gonna do both. I've got a little moped waiting on me, and I'm going the day after Christmas. I'm gonna go surf for two weeks and backpack. I'm gonna go to an island I haven't been to yet.

"So, I have no idea where I'm going or what I'm gonna do yet, but I'm gonna do all of it."

And his record label probably hopes that includes writing another hit or two.
