Kip Moore sings, There's somethin' 'bout a truck that makes girls crazy. For him, there's something about Willie Nelson.

"I'm a massive Willie Nelson fan," Kip told reporters Saturday night (June 9) before he played the CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

Kip says he may have grown to love Willie because his usually conservative mother was such a big Willie fan.

In fact, they played Willie's Red Headed Stranger album about "nine million times" when Kip was growing up.

"My mom was this really amazing, Christian Southern Baptist woman," Kip says. "Her ultimate goal was to play keyboards for Willie Nelson. I think my mom’s so cool, I fell in love with Willie Nelson.

"That’s the only guy I get a little starstruck when I see him."
