KENNY'S HAPPY TO COME IN THIRD

Pollstar recently named Kenny Chesney's "Guitars, Tiki Bars & A Whole Lotta Love Tour" No. 3 in their wrap-up of the first half of 2004. He came in behind pop icons Prince and Britney Spears. "It's one of those things, you know, you don't think of yourself in that kind of crowd," says Kenny modestly. "I mean, I'm a guy from East Tennessee who grew up listening to Conway Twitty and Alabama, Randy Travis and Keith Whitley. That's the music [I'm about]." Kenny gives all the credit to his fans. "My fans like music, and we work real hard to give them as much music as possible while keeping it affordable," he says.
