Kenny to Warm Up—in Every Way—in the Bahamas

"We think we know what's gonna work, but you just don't until you get in front of people," Kenny says.

So where do you warm up for a big summer tour? Well, if you're tropics-loving Kenny Chesney, you head south to the Bahamas.

Kenny will play Saturday (May 26) at the annual Michael Douglas & Friends celebrity golf tourney, which assists an entertainment industy charity fund as well as providing scholarships for students affected by natural disasters.

And Kenny says there's no better way to get ready for the Brothers of the Sun Tour with Tim McGraw that launches the next weekend.

"We can rehearse for two months, and we think we know what's gonna work—the sequence of songs and everything we do to build it," Kenny says, " and over the years we think we know what's gonna work, but you just don't until you get in front of people."

Oh, and then there's the island resort part of it: "It's gonna be a paid vacation. It's gonna be fun for the fans and fun for us."

Actors Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman are co-hosting the weekend-long fundraiser.
