Kenny Rogers Slated for Cultural Festival

Kenny Rogers joins a lineup of musically diverse artists for the fourth annual Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival on the Caribbean island of Providenciales, July 30–August 6.

Kenny, the lone country act on the bill, will perform at the festival Aug. 2. Other performers include pop superstar Michael Bolton, Grammy winner John Legend and award-winning R&B vocalist Alicia Keys. A special Caribbean music tribute featuring Air Supply and other acts is also scheduled. “I’ve done a couple of these festivals, although this will be my first time for Turks & Caicos,” says Kenny. “The thing I love is the diversity of the music, and I think that in itself is important. I’m flattered that they have asked me to come down there.” For a complete schedule of events and special vacation packages, visit musicfestival.tc/2007.
