Kenny Rogers to Be Honored With Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award

Kenny to receive an all-star tribute featuring performances by Rascal Flatts, Jennifer Nettles and Darius Rucker.

Hot off being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this week, Kenny Rogers will receive the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award during the 47th Annual CMA Awards.

Kenny will be honored with an all-star tribute featuring performances by Rascal Flatts, Jennifer Nettles and Darius Rucker.

The Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award originated last year and was created to honor an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in country music. The award recognizes an artist who has achieved both national and international prominence and stature through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, record sales and public representation at the highest level, all of which Kenny has done throughout his career.

“Kenny Rogers is a living legend and country music trailblazer,” says Ed Hardy, president of the CMA Board of Directors. “He is more than deserving of this honor and what is sure to be a stellar tribute.”

The 47th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will serve as the show's hosts for the sixth consecutive year.
