KENNY PULLS CMA FEST SURPRISE

Kenny Chesney surprised the CMA Music Festival crowd when he walked onstage and performed at the Friday night, June 9, show at Nashville’s LP Field.

Kenny had not been announced as being part of the evening’s lineup, but he went the extra mile to get to Nashville and be with his fans. Earlier that day, Kenny performed on ABC’s Good Morning America in New York, then hustled to catch an afternoon flight to Nashville, arriving in time for his sound check at the stadium. Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Trisha Yearwood and others also played for the stadium crowd that night.
When asked about his special effort, Kenny said, “The only reason is the fans, and the people who have supported us through the years and the people that have taken us to the next level. And I just felt like it was important.”
