Kenny Kicks Off College Football
A new song by Kenny Chesney, “This Is Our Moment,” makes its exclusive debut on ESPN/ABC’s first weekend of NCAA football games, starting Sept. 3.
Kenny actually wrote the song on a cocktail napkin, during dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Nashville. Kenny was dining with ABC’s lead college football announcers Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, along with ESPN Saturday Night Football on ABC producer Bill Bonnell. “It was one of those moments of spontaneous inspiration,” Kenny recalls. “I asked for a cocktail napkin, and started writing the verses and the chorus.”
