OK, you may have already seen a few bell-ringing volunteers outside grocery stores this fall.

But the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign doesn't officially kick off until Thursday (Nov. 22) when Kenny Chesney plays halftime of the annual Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day football game.

Kenny joins Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Keith Urban and Reba in singing the campaign kickoff.

"As we can see in our country today, everybody, a lot of people are in need even without what happened on the East Coast," Kenny told reporters recently.

"I think that anybody that has been blessed as I have been—I think just to be able to help and give back through music is the least you can do really.  So, I'm incredibly excited to be a part of that."

The Cowboys play the Washington Redskins at 4:15 p.m .ET on Thanksgiving Day.
