Kenny Chesney to Work With Silence of the Lambs Director

Kenny concert in Wildwood, N.J., to be part of the “American Express Unstaged” music series.

Kenny Chesney, star of stage and screen?

Well, yes, Kenny is working with The Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme, but the country star won't be asked to fry up any human brains or anything weird like that.

Instead, Kenny will just do what he does best—play a concert—and Demme will put his creative touches on it for a livestream online for the "American Express Unstaged" music series, the Associated Press reports.

The event happens next week, on June 20, on a beach in Wildwood, N.J., and Kenny says he's psyched to be working with a world-class director.

"I think it's a unique situation for both of us because odds are we never would have worked together without this thing, you know?" Kenny tells the AP.

"And I think it's a good thing. I love meeting and working with people who can push me and inspire me creatively in a different way. And I think that all creative people look for inspiration. That's the thing I'm looking forward to the most about this, because it is left of center and it is combining two worlds."
