Kenny Chesney Returns to the Recording Studio

Follow-up in the works for Kenny’s album “Life on a Rock”

Kenny Chesney has been lying low for the past several months, but earlier this week, he let fans know just exactly what he’s been doing. Turns out, he’s recording the follow-up to his previous album, Life on a Rock.

“In studio working on new album,” Kenny posted on Twitter, along with a picture of him sitting at the soundboard. “Can’t wait for everyone to hear the new music.”

Life on a Rock appeared in 2013, spawning the singles “Pirate Flag” and, most recently, “When I See This Bar.” Aside from popping up at the recent George Strait performance in Nashville, Kenny has been absent from the spotlight in 2014 and is taking the year off from touring to regroup for an exciting 2015. However, Kenny is scheduled to play at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, when George Strait makes his final tour stop on his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour on June 7.
