Kenny Chesney Goes Coconuts for Blue Chair Rum

His name is as synonymous with tropical breezes and cocktails as it is with country music, so it only makes sense that Kenny Chesney would eventually bring the taste of the islands to his own line of rum.

In May, Kenny Chesney will launch Blue Chair Bay Rums. “Everybody’s always expected this from me,” says Kenny. “There have been people who’ve approached us, stories that have gone around over the years. But rum is what I drink, and I always told myself: if I was going to do this, I wanted to create something I could be really proud of! Not just take a check and a piece of a company, but make the rum I truly wanted to drink.”

Chesney met with master blender, Mike Booth, in Barbados to develop the line, with flavors that include coconut, coconut spiced and a premium white rum.

While the rum won't be available for a little while longer, Kenny will be available all summer long on the No Shoes Nation Tour.
