Kenny Chesney Denies Flirting

Kenny Chesney is denying a tabloid report that he and Jessica Simpson flirted in front of her then-boyfriend, pro football player Tony Romo, at a party only days before the couple broke up.

“Tony’s a friend, and I wouldn't flirt with a buddy’s girlfriend,” Kenny tells People. “More importantly, Jessica was just being sweet and there was nothing else to it. It's not funny. There were no problems. Everybody got along great. After the party, everybody went their own way and nobody thought anything more about it. Period. End of story.” The July 4 party was thrown by Kenny’s longtime friend Sean Payton, coach of the New Orleans Saints. Jessica and Tony split on July 9 after dating for about a year and a half.
