Kenny Chesney celebrated the No. 1 success of his hit single “Summertime” at a party at Nashville’s ASCAP office, Dec. 19.

The event also honored top Music Row songwriter Craig Wiseman, who wrote the song with Steve McEwan. In a lighthearted moment, Craig presented Kenny with his own homemade plaque depicting a bottle of the chocolate drink Yoo-Hoo, a reference to a line in the song. Kenny then told the crowd that “Summertime” was the perfect opening number on his concerts this year. “You can’t imagine how much fun we had singing this on our shows,” Kenny declared. Turning to Craig he added, “Thanks for a great song.”
