KENNY’S SHOW AN OFFICIAL RECORD-SETTER
Kenny Chesney’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., July 16, is now officially the highest grossing one-day country show in history.
Kenny’s show outside of Boston raked in more than $4 million. For concerts in the 21st century, that puts him in the elite company of Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Madonna and U2—acts that charge considerably higher ticket prices. “You don’t think about stuff like that,” says Kenny. “I mean, when they told me who else was on the list, I felt kind of funny, because, you know, look at who those people are. I’m just a guy who likes to play music and have a good time.”
