Kenny’s New CD: Get It Now!

Kenny Chesney’s long awaited new CD, Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, hits retail stores Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Kenny feels that this is his most personal album yet. In a piece written for the Sept. 24 issue of Country Weekly, Kenny says, “Sometimes, you record things because, obviously, they’re gonna work on the radio. But if you do it right, you can record songs that say something about who you are, how you live, what you think . . . and if you do that, you’ve—hopefully—said something about life. I’d like to think that with Just Who I Am, I got to do that a little more than ever before.” The album includes the hit singles “Never Wanted Nothing More” and “Don’t Blink,” along with Kenny’s duet with George Strait on “Shiftwork.” For more on Kenny and his latest album, pick up the Sept. 24 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands now.
