Kenny’s New CD Arrives Sept. 11

Kenny Chesney has announced the date for his long awaited new CD, Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates—Tuesday, Sept. 11.

The CD is Kenny’s first studio album in two years, and contains the smash single “Never Wanted Nothing More.” In fact, it was the overwhelming reaction to that song that prompted Kenny to quickly announce a release date. “I don’t think any of us expected this kind of response to the song,” Kenny says. “In meet-and-greets, people are asking me when they can get the new song . . . when the new record’s coming.” Kenny adds that, “I’ve been working on this record in one way or another almost since [his previous album] The Road & the Radio came out. I’m incredibly ready to share this music with people.”
