Kelly Clarkson Says She Has “the Life of a Country Singer”

First American Idol champ lives in Nashville, dates Reba’s stepson, parties with Blake and Miranda.

She’s a Texas girl with a mandolin-filled version of “Mr. Know It All” playing at country radio. And that's at least her third song to play on country stations: pop star Kelly Clarkson's duets with Jason Aldean and Reba McEntire have been huge hits.

Heck, Kelly even dates Reba's stepson, Brandon Blackstock—and Brandon took her turkey shooting for her 30th birthday.

"It's what I wanted to do, so we went," Kelly tells Lucky magazine.

"Even though I’m a pop singer, I really have more the life of a country singer," Kelly says.

More proof—two of her best celeb friends are Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, and Kelly doesn't have a whole glam squad to get her ready when she's off camera or offstage.

"I just blow-dry my hair and put on mascara and lip gloss, and I’m ready to go. I really don’t get long nails. They’re so Edward Scissorhands.”

Maybe the best proof that Kelly's country came this week: She celebrated the Fourth of July by playing for the troops and their families at Fort Hood in Texas.
