Kellie’s Hubby Helps Her Reach No. 2 on “DWTS”

'Twas a Dancing With the Stars first—a contestant danced while her husband performed the accompanying song.

As promised, Kellie Pickler did a sensous rumba while her songwriter hubby, Kyle Jacobs, performed the wedding song he wrote for her, "Say I Do," with just an acoustic guitar.

The back story proved to be just as powerful as the performance. Kellie explained that she grew up with an absentee mom and a dad who struggled with substance abuse. "It wasn't unitl I met Kyle that I finally found my sanctuary," Kellie said.

The performance itself moved the judges. "Kellie, you make the most beautiful pictures with your body," Carrie Ann Inaba said.

But Carrie Ann and other judges also said some of Kellie's movements were a little clipped.

The score: 26 of 30, good enough to tie for second with Kellie's most consistent competitor, Disney Channel's Zendaya Coleman. Topping the leader board was U.S. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, who landed the season's highest score of 27.

Another country note on this episode: Football standout Jacoby Jones chose Rodney Atkins' "Watching You" to salute Jacoby's toddler son.

And Rodney loved it. "That's crazy. Awesome. Thanks man," Rodney tweeted.
