Kellie Pickler Talks Wedding on Ellen

Kellie Pickler was all smiles during yesterday's episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show as she gabbed about her recent wedding to songwriter Kyle Jacobs on New Year's Day in the Caribbean.

"We were almost finished with the wedding planning, the cake and the flowers and all that and every time we got to the guest list it was like, 'Oh my god, I hate half these people,'" she said, laughing. "Nothing personal." Instead, the couple ditched their big wedding plans and eloped to Jumby Bay, off the coast of Antigua.

"We flew there, and we didn't know what kind of cake we were gonna get, we didn't have our food picked out," Kellie said during the interview. "We totally just put faith in God that it was all going to work out and it did. It was the most incredible day of my life." The couple stayed there for a week, but their vacation was short-lived, as Kellie had a USO tour to Iraq. "We got married, and then we kind of spent our honeymoon, part of it, in Iraq and Baghdad and took a little piece of home to our service men and women."

In true Kellie Pickler fashion, she had some words of wisdom inscribed on her hubby's wedding ring. "I put our wedding anniversary 1/1/11 and then I put 'Put it back on!' So if he takes it off and he looks at it, it's gonna say 'Put it back on!'" said Kellie.
