Kellie Pickler is a true girlfriend and she proved it by shaving her beautiful platinum locks in support of her friend Summer Holt Miller who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

An empassioned Kellie told viewers on ABC's Good Morning America Wednesday (Sept. 5), "Cancer does not discriminate." Summer, who also shaved her head, added, "If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it."

Summer, who has started chemotherapy, is 36.

Kellie is known for changing up her do from time to time, going from a supershort pixie to long bob. She was also a spokesperson for the Sexy Hair line of hair styling products in 2009.
