Kellie Pickler recently returned to the United States after brightening up the holidays for U.S. soldiers overseas as part of the annual USO holiday tour. It marked Kellie's sixth overseas tour to perform for the troops.

Kellie joined fellow celebrities from the sports and entertainment world as they visited hospitals and installations in Afghanistan, Germany and other locations. She always looks forward to spending part of her holidays with the men and women of the Armed Forces, who cannot be home to celebrate the season.

"During the holidays, everyone wants to be home with their families and loved ones," Kellie said in a release about her travels. "And I know it's just as hard for [your] families back home, so they're making a sacrifice as well. I just want to say thanks so much for all that you do, and thank you to your families as they make a huge sacrifice. This time of year is really hard so I hope that you know that we love you."
