Kellie Pickler on the Cover of Maxim’s Salute to the Military Issue

“I’ve always had a great deal of respect for anyone who serves our country.”

Kellie Pickler has saluted the military in the past by performing concerts as part of the USO, but now she's saluting in a whole new way—on the cover of Maxim magazine's "Salute to the Military" issue.

Inside the magazine, the 26-year-old singer, who recently parted ways with BNA Records, is photographed in an array of retro-themed outfits. She also spoke about her growing collection of tattoos and what it means for her to support the military.

"I comes from a military family," Kellie told the magazine. "My grandfather is a retired Marine, and I've always had a great deal of respect for anyone who serves our country. It really does take someone special to sacrifice everything. I don't mean just their lives, either. There are men who are sacrificing the chance to hold their newborn baby!"
