Fresh off his invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry, Keith Urban celebrated his No. 1 single "You Gonna Fly" at an industry party at the Cajun-style seafood restaurant Chappy's on Church, in Nashville, Wednesday (April 11).

Keith was joined by the writers of the hit single, Preston Brust, Chris Lucas and Jaron Johnson, who were all marking their first No. 1 single. Preston and Chris also perform as the duo LoCash Cowboys.

The writers gave extended thank-you speeches, punctuated with humorous stories about Keith and even attempts to imitate his Australian-bred accent. Keith laughed throughout their acceptance speeches and, as he approached the podium, told the gathered crowd, "This is the best No. 1 party I've ever been to." Keith added that he loved the song the first time he heard it. "I just want to say thank you for trusting me with the song," Keith told the writers. "I always intended it to be a single."

Following Keith's remarks, the three writers gave Keith a special gift, a gold-plated whistle, a reference to the whistle sound heard in the song. Keith and the writers also received commemorative plaques and gifts from Keith's record label, the Country Music Association and Country Radio Broadcasters.

The party closed with an electrifying performance of "You Gonna Fly" by Keith, the writers and Keith's band.
