Keith Urban’s Flight Grounded in New York, Plans Makeup Show for Cleveland

And Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman, is knocked down by a freelance photographer.

Keith Urban and wife Nicole Kidman both ran into their share of problems while in New York City recently. Keith was hung up in a huge rainstorm that hit the city, which caused airplanes to be grounded. As a result, Keith could not get to his scheduled concert appearance in Cleveland, Ohio, set for Thursday, Sept. 12. Fans had already jammed Blossom Music Center in Cleveland when they received the news that Keith was unable to make the show.

Class act that he is, Keith sent fans a video message recorded from the airport in New York to apologize.

In the video, Keith announced that he will play a makeup show at the Blossom Music Center Sunday night, Sept. 15. Keith also promised to play "way longer than we would’ve tonight—it’s all that we can do to make it up to you." Opening acts Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town played their sets on the Thursday night show.

Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman, was the victim of a different sort of incident in New York. Nicole was returning to the Carlyle Hotel in the city when she was hit and knocked down by a freelance photographer, who was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. Nicole was in the city for the annual Fashion Week festivities.

According to a witness, the photographer, Carl Wu, appeared to hit the brakes but was unable to stop in time. Nicole did not appear to be seriously injured. She is reportedly looking to press charges against the photographer.

Also according to reports from TMZ, police will ticket Wu for illegally riding his bicycle on the sidewalk but will not arrest him on anything more serious.

Obviously, not the most pleasant Big Apple visit for the Urban family.
