Keith Urban Sends Thanks to Fans Via Video

He records final public words before the vocal cord surgery that'll put him on voice rest for three weeks.

"Hi everybody in Monkeyville. I just wanted to take a second before I go on complete vocal lockdown for three weeks."

With that, Keith Urban began a two-minute video message to fans, his final public thoughts before undergoing surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cords. Doctors say Keith will be on vocal rest for three weeks after the surgery.

Keith expressed tons of gratitude in his message, for his fans during this last tour, and for all the good wishes for a successful surgery.

"I can’t even express my gratitude for you guys for that. It’s like family. It really is. It feels like that," Keith said.

"And I’ve been sent gifts and e-mails and cards and flowers and the coolest things. So I’m overwhelmed at your gratitude, and your prayers are really, really appreciated by me and all of my family.

"To all of you, thank you, thank you, I love you," Keith concluded. "And be well, be safe and have a great new year. And I look forward to seeing you in 2012. God bless."
