Keith Urban’s Vocal Cord Surgery Is a Success, Spokesman Says

The Aussie is “doing fine,” recuperating at an undisclosed location.

Looks like Keith Urban started his silent nights before Thanksgiving.

The country superstar had successful surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cords last Tuesday (Nov. 22), his spokesman told Reuters news service recently.

No word on where that surgery was done, only that Keith is "doing fine," the spokesman said.

So Keith is beginning his second week of three weeks of “complete vocal lockdown,” as he described in a video posted for fans before the surgery.

Keith's spokesman says he's recovering at an undisclosed place.

Keith may be on voice rest, but he's not keeping quiet. The Aussie reacted Monday morning (Nov. 28) to the news that he got four nominations for awards from the Country Music Association of Australia. “Well, even though I can’t speak, I can read....and I was THRILLED to hear about the 4 CMAA nominations!!! THANKYOU!!!!!!!” Keith tweeted.
