Keith Urban Picks Jake Owen for Tour

Owen, Jake

An opening slot on Keith Urban’s tour is a coveted one for most any country artist, and Jake Owen is the lucky one this year.

Jake will open for Keith’s Get Closer 2011 World Tour for the U.S. leg, June 16 through Oct. 15.

“I’m honored to join Keith on his tour,” Jake said in a statement on his website.

“Keith and his band are some of the greatest entertainers in the world, and I’m looking forward to getting out there and watching him play every night. This is going to be truly an amazing summer!!”

Two exclamation points—he’s double pumped.
