Keith Urban Gets Thumbs Up From Last Year’s “Idol” Winner

American Idol launches its new season this week with new judges, and last year's winner says he's only interested in watching one of those judges.

"Keith Urban, that's pretty awesome," Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips tells ABC News Radio. Following his win, Phillip scored a gigantic pop hit with his Idol coronation song, "Home."

"He's a great musician and, you know, maybe he'll be about the artistic side," Phillip said. "We'll see how, you know, the rest of 'em do it."

See how all of them—Keith, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj—do it when Idol season 12 gets underway Wednesday, Jan. 16.
