Excitement building. Enthusiasm high. Loins girded.

The 2014 season of American Idol—featuring returning judge Keith Urban—kicks off Wednesday night (Jan. 15) on FOX.

To help promote the new competition, Keith and fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. will participate in a live chat tonight (Jan. 14), starting at 8:30 p.m. ET at keithurban.net. Fans can ask questions on Twitter using the hashtag #AskIdol.

#ShouldBeFun.

Looks like this season starts with none of the infighting and drama of last season. #ThanksNickiMinaj.

J-Lo told TV critics on Monday that she sits between two people she respects.

“We all love music,” she says. “That’s what is going to make it spark fresh and new again.”
