Keith Urban Digs In
Keith Urban co-wrote, produced and performs the theme song for The Adventures of Digger and Friends, a series of animated vignettes set to accompany Fox-TV’s coverage of the 2009 NASCAR season.
Keith was invited to create the theme song by Fox Sports chairman David Hill, who also penned the lyrics. “David sent me this furry little NASCAR-loving gopher,” Keith explains. “How could you turn the critter down? I immediately went to my drum machine, then to my guitar, back to my drum machine and on to my banjo and it wasn’t long before I had the song. I just hope that Digger likes it.” The Adventures of Digger and Friends will premiere on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. ET during the Daytona 500 pre-race show.
