The school offers musical education to children from low-income families, and the new building will be able to accommodate a greater number of students. Keith, who has been a supporter of the school for several years, served as the ceremony’s special guest speaker. He told the assembled dignitaries, media and students how music lessons early in life helped him define his future goals. “Music has been a savior to me,” Keith said. “A school like this gives so many children the opportunity to realize their dreams.” The project is scheduled to be completed by 2008.
