KEITH CANCELS CMA APPEARANCE

Keith Urban will not make an appearance at the 40th annual CMA Awards, Monday night, Nov. 6, as he continues to receive treatment for alcohol abuse.

Keith checked himself into a treatment facility in Nashville, Friday, Oct. 20, with his wife Nicole Kidman by his side. He has canceled all concert dates and promotional appearances for his new CD, Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing, set for a Nov. 7 release. On Monday, Oct. 23, Keith indicated through a spokesman that he also will not attend the CMAs. Keith is nominated in two categories he won last year: Male Vocalist of the Year and the industry’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year.
