Keith Anderson’s Lessons in Songwriting

Keith Anderson will help bring the "GAC Songwriting Challenge" to Marana High School in Tucson, Ariz.

Students there have been writing songs as a supplemental lesson for their English courses. The program gives the students a chance to experience the highs and lows of the process of songwriting. Keith is currently judging the top ten songs, as chosen by teachers. He will then be at Marana High for a general assembly on Dec. 3, and the winning student songwriter will receive $1,000. Keith says, "I'm really looking forward to visiting with the students at Marana High School to talk about the songwriting process.” GAC plans to launch the program in ten markets first, and then expand it to a national audience by 2008.
