Keith’s New Single Is Totally His

He's had a hand in writing most of his hits, but Keith Urban didn't need a co-writer to crank out his upcoming release, "I Told You So."

It may come as a surpise to some people, but Keith Urban's upcoming single, "I Told You So," will be the first one of his singles he's ever written by himself. The tune, the second single from Keith's Love, Pain, and the whole crazy thing CD, came to the stringed instrument wizard one day while he was doing some picking at his Nashville home. "I was kind of playing my banjo one day," he recalls, ". . . and this little kind of funky . . . kind of Irish lilt . . . kind of Celtic vibe [came out]. The song . . . came in little bits and we went into the studio and finished it there." The single is scheduled for an April 16 release.
