Katie, whose hits include “17 in Abilene” and “Make Me Believe,” recorded her own version of the popular Mariah Carey song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” She also teamed up with close friend and Nashville Star contestant Ashlee Hewitt to write and perform an original song, “I Just Want to Be With You This Christmas.” Both songs were released to radio and iTunes, Nov. 25. “I have always loved listening to Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ during the holidays,” says Katie, 17. Of her original Christmas tune, Katie notes, “When Ashlee and I team up to write and record, I am always so happy with the outcome and ‘I Just Want to Be With You This Christmas’ is no exception because I think this is a song that everyone can relate to.”
