Kacey Musgraves “Freaking Out” to Be at Same Festival as Tom Petty

Say Bonnaroo Music Festival and most folks don’t necessarily think of country music.

After all, Eric Church and Dierks Bentley are the only two mainstream country acts to play the giant outdoor Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, in Manchester, Tenn., which usually features rock and hip-hop headliners.

Add Kacey Musgraves to the list this year.

“We get to play for like an hour, I think, and really kind of jam out,” Kacey tells ABC News Radio.

And that may not even be the most exciting part for Kacey.

“I’m playing on the same day that Tom Petty is playing,” Kacey says. “So I’m just, like, freaking out.”

Clearly she’s an “American Girl.”
