Kacey Musgraves: Bull’s-Eye!

Special 16-page NASH bonus insert

Kacey Musgraves, country music’s preeminent all-around female artist, has high hopes for all women in country—if only Nashville will listen up. The outspoken 25-year-old talks about what her songs mean to her, what it’s like to win so many awards and what her touring plans are for this year in the cover story of NASH Magazine, inside Country Weekly’s March 10 issue.

“I hope the female stigma will disappear. It’s absolutely dumb,” says Kacey. “There are a lot of females out there making good music and it’s such a fight for them to get heard. It’s nuts. Naturally it’s going to be a more male-dominated [scene], I think, but it shouldn’t be so hard to cut through,” she continues, citing the critical success both she and her friend and collaborator Brandy Clark have enjoyed with their cutting-edge albums, Kacey’s Same Trailer Different Park and Brandy’s 12 Stories.

Also, in this week’s NASH Q&A, you’ll find out how Chris Young takes his coffee and what he’d name his boat (if he had one). And Shawn Parr of NASH Nights Live gets Dierks Bentley to divulge five things that define him.

Check out the special 16-page NASH bonus insert inside the March 10 issue of Country Weekly.
