Kacey Musgraves and Kanye West to Play the Same Festival

The last time Kanye West shared the stage with a country artist, it didn’t go so well.

But that’s not stopping Kacey Musgraves from being the only country artist on a festival at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park in August.

The Outside Lands Festival, Aug. 8–10, boasts Kanye, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as headliners. Tickets go on sale Thursday (Aug. 10).

It’s not the first time a country artist has been the only one of his or her genre to do a festival. Dierks Bentley and Eric Church often do the same.

And Kacey Musgraves does love going outside the genre: The ACM Album of the Year winner is already set to play a half dozen dates on pop star Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour later this year.
