Justin Moore Reveals Name of Second Daughter
Oh, and he celebrated another No. 1.
We already know Justin Moore and his wife, Kate, are having another little girl in November. Now we know the baby’s name: Kennedy Faye. “My grandmother that passed away about three or four years ago . . . her name is Faynette and I don’t know where Kennedy came from,” Justin admits. “My wife picked it.”
Justin revealed the news prior to a No. 1 party for “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” which hit the top of the Billboard country singles chart in July. Justin’s wife was in attendance along with 18-month-old daughter Ella.
Justin was quick to give credit for the success of “If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away” to the songwriters. “It’s all about songs, whether you are writing or recording them,” Justin said onstage, thanking songwriters Dallas Davidson, Rob Hatch and Brett Jones. Justin then dedicated the song to his grandfather (who passed away in 2009) and to his grandmother, who was able to attend the party. Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice also attended to show their support to Justin and to the song’s writers.
But that’s not all. A few extra tidbits CW picked up at the party:
The special guest in Justin’s next video: Justin will shoot the video for his next single, “Bait a Hook,” Tuesday (Sept. 27) at a lake in Nashville, and he says he’ll have a special guest in the video. “I’m a big NASCAR fan and I’ve been able to meet Carl Edwards a few times. He’s one of my favorite drivers and he’s actually going to be in the video with me. It’ll be a lot of fun,” Jason told reporters.
All Hallows Eve? He’s not a fan: “I’ve never liked Halloween. As a kid I never dressed up, never wanted my face painted or nothing.”
Trick-or-treating is good: Justin may not be a fan Halloween, but his daughter Ella will be suiting up for a little trick-or-treating this year. “I think she’ll be a cat. We’ve been practicing with her the ‘meow’ and stuff.”
Flatts Fest Gifts: Justin got a special gift from Rascal Flatts at the last stop on the recent Flatts Fest tour. “They got me the coolest end-of-tour present ever. They got me a .50-caliber pistol. That was pretty sweet.”
