Congratulations to ACM New Artist of the Year Justin Moore and his Big Machine record label president, Scott Borchetta. The Armed Forces Foundation has jointly named the pair Humanitarians of the Year for their support of military families with a variety of endeavors including Crown Royal’s “Your Hero’s Name Here.”

In a release, Justin said, “Although extremely grateful, I feel a little uncomfortable being honored at an event where there are decorated war heroes present. I feel that my contributions are much less significant than theirs. They are the true American heroes.” Justin credits his family, which included two grandfathers who served in the military, for instilling his admiration for the armed services.

Justin and Scott were honored at the 10th annual Congressional Gala in Washington, D.C. on April 9. Other celebrities in attendance included NASCAR’s Kurt Busch, comedian Ron White, chef Anne Burrell and Cassadee Pope.
