JT Hodges is helping country music fans get into the holiday spirit with the release of his version of the Christmas classic “Joy to the World.” The song has been released to iTunes as part of a special offer in conjunction with his upcoming role in the made-for-TV movie Finding Christmas, which will air on the Hallmark Channel next month.

In the movie, JT will co-star alongside the likes of Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, The Firm), Mark Lutz (Ghost Whisperer) and Cristina Rosato (Perfect Plan). JT will perform “Joy to the World” when his character goes to an open-mic night at a New York City club with his love interest.

“I’ve always loved performance art, period,” JT says. “It was choir and musicals in high school, and then on to theater and television studies in college. I’ve always been passionate about cinema, as a viewer and an actor. Names like Paul Newman, Robin Williams, Oliver Stone and Steven Spielberg will always have my praise. Being able to work on this movie with Hallmark Channel was an amazing experience and opportunity for me. I’m very thankful and excited that all of my fans now get to see another side of my artistry.”

Finding Christmas will air Sunday, Dec 15, at 8:00 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel. Fans can head over to iTunes now to purchase their own copy of JT’s version of “Joy to the World.”
