Josh Turner has been chosen as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Josh received the invitation to join the hallowed institution from member Roy Clark during a Sept. 29 Opry appearance. “I made my Opry debut back in 2001,” Josh noted from the stage. “I never knew this could happen so early. And if this is an invitation, I say yes!” Vince Gill will formally handle the induction duties on Oct. 27, just three days before the release of Josh’s new album, Everything is Fine.
