Josh Thompson Says Everything’s Better With Bacon
A beer, a grill and a pound of bacon are all this country star needs.
Josh Thompson has a couple of secrets to grilling the perfect meal, and it starts with cracking open a cold beer. “If the chef isn’t well done, how can the food be?” he tells Country Weekly. “Booze is a very big part of cooking. It’s part of an American cooking tradition.”
He’s mostly kidding. Mostly. But he does have another cooking secret. “I wrap some stuff in bacon,” he says, laughing. “You can wrap anything in bacon. Duck breasts are very good with bacon.” He adds that duck is his favorite water fowl to eat.
But he’s pretty handy with his Big Green Egg, too.
