Josh was joined by the song's three co-writers, Jim Beavers, Jonathan Singleton and Darrell Brown. Josh's wife Jennifer and their two sons, Hampton and Colby, were also in attendance. During the party, Josh told the crowd of industry and media members that he was thankful for the opportunity to record the single. "The song is very poignant and truthful," he noted. "I felt like the country needed to hear the words of this song." The party featured an appropriate soundtrack of dance-themed songs like "Land of 1000 Dances" and "YMCA" over the speaker system, interspersed with "Why Don't We Just Dance."
